Today I want to share a meditation guaranteed to help you embrace your gifts: A guided meditation for empaths!
I have news for you - being highly sensitive and empathic can be fun!
When you have more sensory muscles, there’s more in life to see, hear, taste, smell, and feel. There’s a trick, though, that brings the gift of sensitivity to a place of joy instead of burden.
You guessed it - a daily practice!
Alone time with yourself each day focused on getting to know your own energy gives you the power to choose what you want to give your power to.
I choose to empower myself with love. And it's a choice - meditation helps me remember that I have one.
Give this guided meditation a try and let me know how it went in the comments below!
And if you want more empathy insight, here’s a link to another blog about understanding your empathic nature
Thank you for practicing with me!

This meditation requires that you listen to ocean sounds. Set your timer for 7 minutes. Lie on your back and listen to the sound of the ocean waves.
Imagine the waves traveling from the crown of your head down to the toes. Then, back from the toes to the crown of the head. Feel the energy of the waves moving up and down through the body.
3-Part Breath & Mantra Exercise for Relaxation
I taught this little 3-part exercise at my monthly Relax & Meditate class and it was so nice!
Continuing on this nourishment tip - prana is one of the most nourishing elements for our cells.
What is prana? Prana is the energetic life force that travels into the body via breath, food, and sunlight. High-pranic foods are fruits and leafy green vegetables. One way to get more prana into your system is through invigorating exercise such as ecstatic dance, yoga, qi gong, tai chi, or any other practice that links conscious breath with movement. Another method for drawing in more prana is pranayama, the art of breath practice.
I’m back! Having some vacation time was so relaxing and rejuvenating. I received the healing and restoration that I needed.
I also took a social media, computer, and Netflix break during my vacation. My system was initially shocked because these are some of my go-to’s for relaxation. Imagine listening to heavy metal music at ear piercing volume, then all-of-a-sudden someone turns the music off. With the screen gone, I was left with all of this......time. “What do I do with all this time?” I thought to myself. Well, I read books, spent time in nature, meditated, danced and sang - and it was SO nourishing.
In these last days of summer, I find myself prone to anger more easily. The sister science of yoga, Ayurveda (pronounced eye-uhr-vaid-uh), refers to the quality of heat as pitta.
The summer heat activates our pitta nature, invoking a physical heat that we can feel as well as emotional heat such as anger and intense passion. To balance this heat, it’s good to engage in cooling activities such as slow walks, slower styles of yoga, breathing exercises and meditation.
Back to the basics. Meditation 101: Sit in the silence and deeply listen. How many brilliant ideas, how many cosmic downloads, how many connections to the source are aided through the conscious communication that takes place in the silence? Millions.
Empath Support Part 2: Clear Empathy = Compassion
The intention for energetic boundaries is authentic relationship - not separation. If you’re always tending to someone else’s feelings, then who are you? When your boundaries ARE set, then you’re not at the whim of someone else’s mood or story, because you are rooted, grounded and tending to your own needs, thoughts and experiences.
Calling all sensitive, creative, empathic folks...this message is for you!
Do you feel other people’s emotions deeply? Are you the friend people come to for life advice? Do you often find yourself feeling drained after feeling all of the aforementioned? Well then, you may fall into the category I loosely call empathic, which can also include the highly sensitive and introverted.
“I forgive myself for ____________
I acknowledge my feelings and actions, that I am human and sometimes makes mistakes.
I release all guilt and surrender myself to divine love.
I call my energy to be directed toward the cause of compassion for myself and anyone else who feels similar to how I feel in this moment.”
