My Yoga Journal Day 3: You Can Do What You Love Right Now

Yoga helped me to see that I am self-validated. I used to wait around for other people to tell me that I was good enough or ready to do whatever it was I wanted to do at the moment. The practice of meditation, sitting with myself everyday, helped me to see that I am the one who chooses when to move forward with a goal or project. I have the power to validate myself.
It's with this sentiment that I decided I was ready to record my first album in 2011. It was an intimidating process, I mean hearing oneself on a voicemail is tough enough, but a whole hour of my singing voice...yikes!

​Yet, I felt supported by my practice and a deep connection to the voice within that said, "it's time".  If you are wondering whether you’re ready or good enough to do the thing that you love, I'm here to say that you are! There is probably someone right now longing for that special thing you have to offer.
