I am sitting here, tracing a line with my fingertips from my head to my heart. I do this as a way of seeking guidance from my heart, so that I can communicate from here. My heart is saying to you - "Thank you. Thank you for listening. Thank you for your practice. Thank you for all the times that you listened to your heart. Because of you, I am here, remembering how important it is to listen to my heart. Thank you."
Here is a healing breathwork set I created today to bring the focus onto you, your heart, your health, and your well-being.
We recently held a breath healing circle from our home and the intention for the evening was forgiveness. We discussed what forgiveness meant to each person and found many definitions and concepts. Some ideas had elements of superiority/inferiority which inspired me to share more about the topic to reduce forgiveness to it’s simplest form.
If I had to choose one word that reminds me of my powerful human spirit, it would be kindness. Kindness is our measuring rod for our practice. Kindness is the garden in which we sit and meditate. It’s our backdrop, our tether while we look at the hard stuff.
Welcome to the monthly forecast! Last month was high-intensity with big social movements, the election, and the holiday season all converging in a short time space. This is a time when many, maybe you, are asking “What do I stand for? What do I represent? What are my values and, what is my legacy?”
*From the book "40 Meditations" by Robin D. Bruce
This meditation requires that you listen to ocean sounds. Set your timer for 7 minutes. Lie on your back and listen to the sound of the ocean waves.
Imagine the waves traveling from the crown of your head down to the toes. Then, back from the toes to the crown of the head. Feel the energy of the waves moving up and down through the body.
Chanting, praying, crying, burning.
Incense, sage, palo santo, copal.
Dancing, mulling, hiding, binging, reviving, revitalizing.
Who knows what the caterpillar does in the cocoon, but him?
Hello my friend,
this month I've been challenged in so many ways and the result is a restored confidence in my personal practice and individual process - I want to share my story with you.
When I was a girl, my grandma would often say, “Believe in yourself, honey.” This was usually in response to an expression of fear and doubt in myself. I think that was her way of telling me that it’s okay to feel, okay to be myself, okay to believe in something only I could know.
3-Part Breath & Mantra Exercise for Relaxation
I taught this little 3-part exercise at my monthly Relax & Meditate class and it was so nice!
So much to be that there’s little time to be in
The sanctuary of our souls.
Ambition rules and
stillness becomes a luxury.
The quiet is a wellness
so indulgent, some cannot afford.
But it’s simple,
and it’s deep.
Happy February Y’all!
I've been focused on self-care and self-study this winter, so I’ve retreated into my shell and discovered new ideas and inspiration! With that, I like to feel concepts in my bones before I share them with you (to make sure they work) so it’s been a good rest for me and I’m back to share with you
Hi! I'm Robin - Teacher, Singer, & Author. I love creativity & sharing what I love!
